Barstool Sportsbook is an online and mobile sportsbook operated by Barstool Sports, a popular digital media company with a focus on sports and pop culture. Barstool Sportsbook offers a comprehensive suite of betting options, including moneylines, spreads, totals, parlays, futures, and prop bets.
There are dozens of sportsbooks out there. For good or for worse, they all look relatively the same. My role was to find and improve users engagement while they are exploring props and placing bets.
After extensive research, workshops, and explorations we crafted a few features that handled a few areas of improvement
We started with provide users with a new method of building parlays and passing some navigation restraints. Sharing their betslip with friends to reduce screenshots and improving the camaraderie that sports brings to the table.
Barstool sportsbook offers thousands of props across all active sports. We wanted to provide a feature for our power users (casino and Sports) as well as our green users. Allowing users to not only search for props but also add them to a betslip gives a faster method of building parlays without getting lost in multiple events.
Screenshots, screenshots and more screenshots. The amount of screenshots that users were taking on the betslip section of the experience were unreal. We wanted to capture that users pattern and provide them a method of easier sharing. But we didnt stop there. A user could share their bet slip via a link to social , and other users could add those props straight to their betslip.
